October 31st Worship Program

Message Notes

I pray that your time with us in today's worship encourages your faith and helps you move closer to Jesus as you discover more of his plan for your life.

We are continuing our study of the book of Ephesians as we discover God's design for us as followers of Jesus. Today we consider what it means that we are heirs in Christ, that in fact we are PROMISED instruments of God's grace. Ultimately, we are aiming at the bottom line today: When you really experience grace you routinely extend grace.

Spiritual Development: Evangelism

Scary word I know... but Scripture is clear that we are to do it, even if it makes us a bit uncomfortable.

Here are some articles for you to read that might help with your discomfort:

This week's prayer focus:

Sunday - Our Mission: God, give us a deep passion for the work of Christ. Luke 4:18-19

Monday - Our Church: God, develop spiritual growth & maturity in Your church. Hebrews 5:12-14

Tuesday - Our Leadership: God, help our pastor proclaim Your Word boldly. 2 Timothy 4:2

Wednesday - Families: God, help couples be faithful to the marriage promises they made to You and to each other. Hebrews 13:4

Thursday - Our Community: God, we thank you for those who serve in our community. 1 John 3:16

Friday - Children/Youth: God, help our young people commit themselves to a life of purity of mind and body. Psalm 119:9-11

Saturday - Adults: God, help our adults find and fulfill Your purpose for their lives. Jeremiah 29:11-14

Merger Prayer Focus: Needing workers

One of the major hindrances to growing as a new church is the lack of workers. As the church launches new ministries to reach new people in the mission field, an adequate number of passionate workers need to be in place.

  • Pray that God would bring people to fill the gaps. Matt 9:37-38

  • Pray for new teachers. James 3:1

  • Pray for more youth and children workers. Matt 19:14

  • Pray God would bring young adult workers. 1 Cor 12:7

  • Pray God would bring tech people. 1 Cor 12:27

  • Pray that God would bring more musicians. Psalm 150

  • Pray that God would bring diversity in workers. Eph 2:13-16
