Welcome to Church!
We are glad to have you worship with us today. It's a true blessing to worship, pray, and serve with friends and neighbors.
Today we continue a study of the book of Acts, the account of the birth of the Church. In this week’s text, as God is expanding his church in amazing ways, the enemies of God show up to distract His people from the mission. It’s amazing to see God’s sovereignty at work in and through the prayers of his people. WE are left with a nagging question… would God still move like this if we prayed this way?
Gathering for worship services is an important part of our life as disciples of Jesus as well as part of the Global Methodist Church. We understand that God invites his people into three rhythms. First, to worship passionately, where worship is more than the songs we sing, it’s about the lives we live, for the glory of God. Second, God calls us to love extravagantly; to love like Jesus who modeled sacrificial love in his life and in his death. Third, God equips us to witness boldly; to tell others about what he has done and is doing in and through his people. We believe living out these three are essential for us as His church here in Rock Hall.
Thank you for being a part of our church family today. My prayer is that our time together in worship would be a source of inspiration, reflection, and connection in your relationship with Jesus. If you have any questions or want to discuss your faith journey, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. My office telephone is 410-639-2144, or send me an email.

Benediction
Life is much more than an accident. Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there. Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there. He has a purpose for me being there -
Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.
I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.
If you would like someone to pray with you, please come and meet one of our ministry leaders at the end of the service.

Take Home:
Read Psalm 127:1-2. What comfort does this passage bring to your life? How would you respond to someone who quotes these verses as a reason to be lax, lazy, and uncaring about his daily work and spiritual disciplines?
Read Matthew 6:25-34. What aspects of these oft-quoted words of Jesus are most convicting to you and why? What parts of this comforting passage are actually a corrective and an admonition to your life?
Read Daniel 3:14-18. What kinds of problems arise in our Christian lives when we think that there is only one way God could rightly answer our prayers?
Read Romans 11:36. How can this powerful little verse readjust your perspective on prayers that are delayed or not answered in the way you would have wanted?
Read Proverbs 3:5-6 and 1 Peter 5:6-7. Think of the kind of words one might pray to accomplish what is being commanded in these passages.
