Welcome.
We are glad to have you join us for worship. Throughout Jesus’s ministry, He wasn’t too impressed with symbolic devotion. In fact, He spent a lot of time challenging the “religion” of the day, even folks in the church. He challenged preconceptions, called out critics, and shook up the lukewarm.
In this series DO-OVER, we’ll look back to identify the slogans and cliches of Christianity and discover the keys to making the most of the second chance God has given us through a new life as part of His Church.
Our church is a true family of believers who come together to worship, pray, and learn from God and each other. We value being connected to other believers and strive to create an environment where individuals and families can grow closer together.
At our church, we believe that everyone has the potential to impact the world. In our programs and ministries, we seek to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to make a Gospel difference in our community and in the world.
So, if you are looking for a church home that seeks to make a positive impact in Rock Hall and the world, we invite you to join us. No matter who you are or where you come from, you are welcome here. We look forward to getting to know you and to growing in our faith together.
If you have any questions or want to discuss your faith journey, please don’t hesitate to contact Pastor Gary directly, by email - gary@yourrockhall.church or by telephone - 410-639-2144.
Thank you again for joining us.

Benediction
Life is much more than an accident. Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there. Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there. He has a purpose for me being there -
Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.
I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.
If you would like someone to pray with you, please come and meet one of our ministry leaders at the end of the service.

Message Notes
Do-Over: From Misery to Victory
Revelation 2:8–11 (NIV)
To the Church in Smyrna
8 “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write:
These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. 9 I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
11 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.
Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? James 2:5 NIV
What you fear most reveals what you value most
What you fear the most reveals where you trust God the least.
2 My adversaries pursue me all day long; in their pride many are attacking me. 3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. 4 In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 56:2–4 NIV
"I have never known more than fifteen minutes of anxiety or fear. Whenever I feel fearful emotions overtaking me I just close my eyes and thank God that he is still on the throne reigning over everything and I take comfort in His control over all the affairs of my life.” John Wesley
What is a success life or Church?
Faithfulness
What does this look like?
A faithful life is a fearless life.
This week’s YouVersion Bible Reading Plan:
When a crisis happens in our world, it’s easy to question our faith, and it’s hard to replace the panic we face with the peace we’re promised as Jesus-followers. In this 5-day Bible Plan, we’ll discover three things we can do as Christians in the face of a crisis.
