February 26th Worship Program

Welcome!

Thank you for joining us for worship this the first week of Lent.

My prayer is that as you worship with us in this season your faith is renewed as you find yourself drawn into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Between now and Easter, we are finishing a study on the Gospel of Luke. Today, we find the last teaching of Jesus in the Gospel, fitting that his last teaching would be about the last days.

After our 10am worship service today we are sharing lunch, potluck style. Please join us, even if you weren’t able to bring something to share - we’ll have plenty I’m sure. As we eat, we will be sharing where we see God calling us as a church in our community.

Everyone is welcome here because no one here is perfect, but together anything can happen.

The same power that has transformed our lives is transforming our community as we live out our faith, sharing and showing God’s love, by serving our neighbors and telling the story of how His love transformed our lives.

If you have any questions about our church or want to discuss your faith journey, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. My email is gary@yourrockhall.church and my office telephone is 410-639-2144.

Thank you again for joining us.

Benediction

Life is much more than an accident. Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there. Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there. He has a purpose for me being there -

Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.

I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.

If you would like someone to pray with you, please come and meet one of our ministry leaders at the end of the service.

This week’s YouVersion Bible Reading Plan:

So why go on this journey? Lent invites me to face that which we’d rather avoid. For 40 days we go on a journey dedicated to isolation, prayer, and fasting. May this Lent journey be a confirmation of how God is always with us, give us the courage to go to places we would rather avoid, and let us experience his provision once more.
