Welcome to Church!
As we gather for worship this weekend, I want to make sure you know how grateful we are that you have joined us. It's a blessing to worship, pray, and serve alongside friends and neighbors.
Today we continue our slight detour in our study of the book of Acts. As we work our way through Stephen’s sermon from Acts 7 and we are taking a look back to the Old Testament history and significance of the Tabernacle and Temple worship to discover some very powerful Gospel lessons that can help us live faithful lives.
After the service, take a few minutes to engage friends and neighbors in conversation, or spend some time in prayer. We hope you find our church and church family is not just a place of worship but a community of support and love.
If you have attended church before, you know every church is unique. A few of the things we hope you will notice about us are first, the priority we give to the Bible, not just in worship, but in all things related to God and our relationship with HIm; also, we are committed to being a blessing, as we seek to represent Christ to our community; and finally we depend on the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us to live our daily lives. We believe these are essential to our calling to be His church here in Rock Hall.
Thank you for being a part of our family today. My prayer is that our time together in worship would be a source of inspiration, reflection, and connection in your relationship with Jesus. If you have any questions or want to discuss your faith journey, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. My office telephone is 410-639-2144, or send me an email.
Richest Blessings!

Benediction
Life is much more than an accident. Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there. Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there. He has a purpose for me being there -
Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.
I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.
If you would like someone to pray with you, please come and meet one of our ministry leaders at the end of the service.

“The world needs Christians who don't tolerate the complacency of their own lives.”

Take it Home:
Read Psalm 113. How is the detailed recognition of God’s specific care for his people in this passage magnified and made even more praiseworthy when put against the backdrop of the statements in vv.4-6?
Read Isaiah 66:1-2. Why is our concern for obeying God’s word diminished when we fail to maintain a “high view” of God? Why do you think a low view of God fosters pride and self-interest?
Read Psalm 132:1-5 and 1 Kings 8:27-30. Realizing that both David and Solomon understood that God could not be localized by a physical worship center in Jerusalem, why do you think they would be so intent on establishing this more permanent worship structure?
Read Ephesians 2:11-13. What can you do to sincerely worship God for including you in his redemptive plan? Why do you think we don’t do this more often?
